About 64% of the workforce is offshore, so Americans are by far already the minority.

@c1 I agree. I don’t mind indians work here as an individuals, but the way they tend to form an internal group and conduct very invasive, aggressive and unethical working culture is a red flag. See how they sc--wed up Boeing.

Read WSJ article Beijing Big Problem - An incredible shrinking economy.

One item stands out in the article, in dollar terms Chinese economy is shrinking but in terms of purchasing power parity - they are far superior toUS counterparts (this is the same affordability mess)

Why is this relevant here (in my viewpoint)

For a company, labor intensive, like BNY it is a win-win when they transfer jobs, Indians purchasing power increases domestically and thus this becomes a sought-after employment - means there is an enthusiastic population seeking BNY openings, high demand results in good candidates for less money.

In US the reverse applies, no longer sought by smart individuals and thus it makes it easier for the Indians to climb the ladder, and the downward spiral continues in the US workforce.

Hence it is inevitable that American Workforce will become a minority, if not already.

If Robin doesn’t take advantage of the foreign workers by paying them peanuts, how is he going to collect his $50 million a year. Yachts aren’t cheap & He won’t be able to eat his caviar.

@c1 not our problem. You dont take anerican jobs from american companies and leave us sc--wed while ensuring they get everything cause these companies want to save money even if it means poor quality of work which we are all seeing

Too late cause we have already been that way. Our govt needs to step in and shut down offshoring american jobs and the amount of AI that can be used and for what. Im the next couple years there will be nothing for us left to do if this sh-t is allowed to continue

@az I also despise the offshoring. But I do not blame the Indian workers. They want jobs and careers and money like everyone else. I do really dislike some of the workplace culture Indian management brings with it though. But at the end of the day, the company made these decisions. It's their doing. I feel guilty sometimes though. I've trained and mentored many of the people who replaced American workers; people that were my friends and colleagues. It bothers me that I was a willing part of it. But I did not want to lose my job either, so I did it. I think a lot of us did. I'm not terribly proud of it, but there wasn't a lot I could do to change it. I did try.
