What is Nike planning for Converse? Over a hundred people laid off a month ago and technology cut 2/3 of staff. Moving it all to Beaverton?

It will not get better. At least not with the people they chose to keep here. The gaslighters, the know it all’s, the finance frauds, VPs that are glorified for… well, know one really knows why they’re glorified. It’s a half sunken ship and it’s not coming back up. Even if they clean out every single leader it’s so deteriorated it’s almost impossible to recover.
will it get better? feeling hopeless and burnt out.
saw a news article about nike positioning converse for a sale
Nike didn’t destroy converse. Converse destroyed converse. I’ve been here now through multiple layoffs and I’m still looking at the faces of those, and their brown nosed crew, responsible for this. They canned the people that actually cared and WANTED to work with Nike. Middle management shakes at the slightest mention of a Nike partner. It’s so sad that Nike hasn’t cared enough to get their hands dirty and actually take the trash out.
@d8 it is very sad. Nike has literally destroyed Converse and you will never convince me otherwise.
@OP the plan with Converse is that there is NO plan.
That is problem with Nike these day.
Brain drain EH down.
It is sad
A VP at Converse was let go today?
I don't get how India would be a threat to the world for tech jobs, implementation is now the shortest and easiest part of the development cycle, why would anyone outsource that minuscule piece of work?
All the innovation now is in the requirements and operations, which will always be right in the the good ol US of A, living close to the business
Now if India started inventing and pushing the limits of innovation, ok sure, we'd have another China coming up, legit global based competition, that could be good though, get our schools and hunger back to the, we're #1 mentality, winning is the way!
@by oh I believe it. Everybody is worried about AI (and we should be), but India poses a much bigger threat to the tech world (for jobs)
Believe it or not, straight to India.
They're going to sell it just like they did Hurley. Converse isn't a big enough slice of the pie. Shame.
And one of the top VPs just got sacked today
no idea...was wondering too
either sell off the brand, or roll in back into nike.com/converse, I think they should sell it, I like the chuck taylors, they have a legit following and would be dope, imo, if they stood up on their own again, probably take off like wild fire!!
