Thread regarding CDW layoffs

@qp I think you've misunderstood my point. I'm not blaming the masses. Rather, I was defending Sirius coworkers in response to B1's comment: "To that point, however, everyone who was part of the Sirius acquisition should be kicked to the curb."

Sirius was a well-run organization. Had the integration been properly planned and executed by CDW's leadership, the acquisition could have been successful. As another commenter pointed out, Sirius and CDW could have continued operating as partners while CDW completed its Salesforce rollout and then integrated the systems in a more deliberate manner.

My point is that the challenges appear to have stemmed from the integration strategy and execution, not from the Sirius coworkers themselves. I hope that clarifies my earlier comment.

@re

Everytime her or any C level is on one of these d-mb gaslighting calls...I've only ever seen them read off a screen.
Who is writing the script for them. If it's themselves...not sure how they can read that BS to us.

Karma will get all of them one day because you have to purposely try hard to ruin a successful multi billion $ company. That's one thing everyone can agree one I'd say.

@qy
Exactly.
In a way...it's almost like they pitted sides against each other.
Each side blaming the other with the REAL blame lying at the feet of those on each side of the acquisitions.
The board needs to be gutted as well and there's no way Leahy should be CEO as well as Chairman of the Board. She isn't being a fiduciary to shareholders or employees.
Almost like her and her ilk are milking CDW and using everyday employees to keep the gravy train going.

@qp to be fair (and we all want fairness /s) all acquired execs sell themselves for that exit package or temp transition role to get the $$$. Sirius was no different and took the money and ran, but you're right - it's at the feet of the board and corp dev/strategy people that made horrible integration plans and no one seemed to know what the heck to do with any of the acquisitions, so they did nothing or put smiley face bandaids on critical business decisions without any accountability or ideas how to fix it. So we all got run over by the arrogance and inept executives who thought they were smarter than the rest.

@m1
You blame CDW like the masses had anything to do with Sirius.

Blame Leahy and the Board along with her C level and VP team.

Sirius could have been acquired and operated separately under CDW and we could've worked together like partners.

Maybe if the Sirius heads didn't agree to the be sold in exchange for $$$ neither CDW employee's or Sirius employees (now all CDW family 🤣) wouldn't be suffering.

Sirius leadership sold themselves out like street walkers to Leahy. Where those leaders at now?

@b1 Kiss my you know what. The Sirius acquisition was mishandled by CDW and had nothing to do with its coworkers. If the acquisition was handled correctly and not the "CDW Way" it would have been a benefit to both sales and processes. But, no, it was mishandled for way too long and failed. Maybe look to yourself and see it your being all you can be for CDW.

@j5
Liz is non existent as a sales leader.
Actually most leaders hide these days thinking WFH allows them to not show face and address internal issues.

Ex corporate lawyer as CEO and they then brought in a corporate Exec from JPM to run HR then Sales.

Liz couldn't convince me to open a checking account let alone respect her as a leader.

Current vision of CDW....outsource, cut pay, replace tenured for new hires, and close your eyes and hope it works in a few years.

Also...why do the heads of our company look like slobs when posing for pics for social media?

Who's next on the chopping block? Please get back to the old CDW that customers loved and coworkers gave 200% too.

@j5

I left after multiple decades primarily because of the nickel and diming by Liz.

I saw over the last 5-6 years as they steadily took commissions away from the very frontline customer 1st/customer facing coworkers that allow these d-mb C level execs and VP's to travel to events and smile for photo ops (all while making more $, still getting increasing bonuses, and gaslighting every coworker along the way as they dodge accountability and place the blame on others as seen with the continuous layoffs since they can't think out of the box). Layoff people that know and grew the business or drive them out AND replace them all with newly graduated interns and AM's). Like a gut and rebuild in sports just of the players but not the front office.

They saved at least $50-100k on me per year and I saw my workday/time being wasted as I was now doing AR/AP duties along with more on the customer service side. I saw some commission payout discrepancies begin to occur and occur more frequently and when asked, PPM leadership played d-mb.

I wouldn't stay 1 second after hours on any EOM, EOQ, or EOY or ship $1 extra for Liz or any of her leadership team..... afterall they made the incentive NOTHING to go above and beyond anymore and that extra $1 I'd ship, means nothing to these id--ts.

Like does it make sense to anyone to work twice as hard or deal with twice the stress for 25-50% less pay and when you do maybe increase sales (let's say you double sales)...you might get 15% for doubling your GP. Make it make sense.

Is Liz gone yet? No sales experience and she managed to F up the entire sales team that actually knew how to make money, they all left or will be leaving shortly. Not one A player in sales will remain after a 40-75% pay cut. this is the worst run place I have ever heard of. Only one that will remain at the end of the year will be the CDW lifers that don't know how to sell and have no relationships. CDW is a living example of what happens when you hire based on DEI, a direct tie to the stock price. I wouldn't invest your two cents in this company.

@es that’s the way she sold her to us. The same manner she was sold to her first job here and she fu---d them up. Now she is fu--ing up everything here. Chris’ friendships are ki-ling us!

Yes, let’s hire somebody from Kohl’s. Their growth and innovation strategy is taking Amazon returns in exchange for Kohl’s coupons. Could be very relevant to CDW.

Sona was a joke. Every hire she made a colossal waste of money. Every single hire. I don't know what was worse for CDW. her tenure or the Sirius debacle. Drory can go back under his rock wherever he came from, he's a snobby condescending je-k who failed the company and all of us big time. His entire reason for existence in a real company is now replaced by the AI. He won't land anywhere other than making slide decks and offering stupid advice at Bain, BCG, Slalom, Accenture, KPMG or one of those sleazy places. Anand, same story. Clueless dunce-cap who will end up teaching marketing 001 at community college in West Virginia, Oregon or Mississippi. Goodbye you losers.

Ki-ler Kate and CWS are doing sentiment analysis on these posts and other data points. Keep your opinions coming. Keep them honest and constructive. Drory and AR were both complete mo--ns. Chong too. Others too but you can’t fire everyone all at once, especially your good friends. Kudos to Chris for doing something as she’s not going to fire herself!

To be fair, Michael Drory got hired after the Sirius deal. To that point however, everyone who was part of the Sirius acquisition should be kicked to the curb.

too little maybe too late but finally he's being held to a tiny bit of responsibility for what he did (or didn't) accomplish with the 2.5B throw away that was Sirius and every other "strategy" he led. maybe the board can claw back some of the excessive $$ paid to these inept execs that only ran things into the ground for years with no accountability.
