What should I do about criminal background

I found out one of my peers who is a senior manager has a criminal background. Not sure if I should report her. I am pretty sure the company is not aware of it.

Loud Speaker is for ideas or reporting glitches or problems in the system. Not for "I'm Telling on You" you report that to HR, who won't do anything about it anyways.

HR is only concerned if you committed crimes before joining the firm not after—they perform a onetime background check.

I got a petty misdemeanor years ago and I am still here :)

Probably depends on the crime and if it were a misdemeanor or felony.

IME felony = immediately walked out the door
Misdemeanor = nobody really GAF

Demand remote work for your physical safety as an accommodation if they were convicted of a violent crime?

@bx If she's a criminal, in senior management nonetheless, then she fits right in. Report her if you think it'll help, but chances are she'll just get promoted, and fire you.

I am pretty sure having a criminal background would a positive .
Most management at wells fargo probably had their criminal convections on their Resume to increase their chances of being hire.

There are many people at the company with criminal backgrounds that passed the background check. They mostly only care about financial or theft convictions.

Report them and provide documentation. If a person has committed crimes they deserve and should enjoy the full benefits of their actions.

Background checks would have been run when. She was hired so if it was in the report it would like have been sorted out before hiring her…

it feels strange for someone to dig up dirt and report it- how do you explain this ? You were suspicious about her behavior and decided to run some checks and found out.
