It so annoying that they even try to sell Verizon services to people that they laid off . "you are terminated, but you are eligible for 50% discount" seriously! get out of here. Verizon will lose even more subscribers with all these lay offs. They dont have the best service and they are the most expensive. stupid a--holes

@yv I got laid off last year (Oct, 2024) and I still have my employee discount. Don't know why, but I'll probably stick around until they figure it out. Not sure how I can pay full price for Verizon service when my current income is half of what it was before they decided to offshore my job.
They're offering u a 50% discount even after ur no longer an employee?! I was RIF'd in 2023 and our employee discount came off real quick after our last day. I had just gotten 4 new devices on dpp too so I couldn't leave for a while.
13,000 is more like 100,000! You know we all have our mom and dad, mother-in-law, wife, kids, brother plus our phone/watch/iPad combo. But 50% off keeps me running with the devil.
I left with VSP, and my employee discount ran out just a short while ago. I will be looking to leave Vz as a customer this holiday season. I'm appalled by how Vz treats its employees (and customers). It's not the Verizon I joined any longer.
@db Verizon did over 2M gross postpaid phone adds in Q3 and net 44k. Do the math and let us know if another 13,000 in churn makes a noticeable difference.

The amount of money saved by wiping out the dead waste offsets any loss on these subscribers.
