Anyone else hearing how big an impact today's layoff is/was? I know of at least 2 managers in the call center that were given 30 day notice today and were told there were a lot of others as well.

I left 5 yrs ago - I remember when they gave UM staff a flat payday bonus for doing extra cases to deal with the TAT - other depts got nothing for doing extra work. Interesting concept to pay staff more money to do their actual job. I agree with the other post - low metrics and poor leadership were the core issue then. Seems like they still are - but the extra money is gone. Like many of us - we are gone too.
@bw That is because they continue to offshore or AI anything in UM that they can possibly get away with.
@c2 Don't worry. The AI they have for UM will handle the work. LOL
@cm TAT for UM has been a problem forever - metrics are low and don't match for all lines of business. Should be staffed 7 days a week and actually could work 24/7 like a hospital - not like they talk to anyone. Worked here for over 10 years and all I hear is they are on a PIP for TAT - seriously? Strong leadership to be on a PIP for years and never get it closed
@c2 UM layoffs are one of the worst ideas especially with the changes on turnaround times
What do we know though. We just work here.
12 people that I know of in Medicare UM. We were swamped with work after the last layoff, we will never be able to keep up now. Makes no sense.
Commercial UM Intake was notified of a large layoff today. Can’t confirm numbers but it was most of the entry-level associates.
Big reorg under Chief Growth Office. Confirming CMO got axed and new one set to begin on Monday. Omnichannel affected as well
The CMO is no longer with the org
I now know of at least 20 people that were let go today in service, it's hard to get any definitive answers on scope when everything is silo'd. Managers, OEs, reps, reductions across the spectrum.
