Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Contract HSE in S&TB gutted.

Against literally everyone’s advice, the response to all the incidents we have had recently is to absolutely gut our frontline defense: Site safety.

Don’t fret, we have the heroes from the HSE office staff still here to make a sign, slogan, or initiate another stand down.

Don’t need site safety. We have OE for FFL, and that will solve all the issues.

When is this going into effect?
Currently ST&B site safety still working on site at drilling, frac, site prep, well services; all still have contract HES working daily. Haven’t heard anything about near-term release of contract HSE. More information, please.

@bw "Thinking if getting legal involved"

The emails only come to try and keep the lawsuits down. They don’t care how many people die as long as it’s cheaper than preventing the death. They will always say the person did something wrong even though chevron was working the people 20 hr out of a 25 hr day. Literally happened to me and my direct boss and his boss both covered it up. Thinking if getting legal involved

The fact that Angola happened after the first selection and the companies solution was to send out a thoughts and prayers type of email while having the audacity to say safety is our number one priority in the same breath and still continues with the second half of the reorg. Then El Segundo happens, fortunately with no loss of life, and they still continue to say safety is our number one priority. No, Chevron, I think making money at what ever cost, even if there’s loss of life, is your number one priority. This is a criminal organization if I’ve ever seen one. I survived the reorg but I’m not sticking around much longer for the rest of this sh!t show.
