Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

What’s the definition of nepotism?

For all those who use the word, what is the definition?

I ask because the spirit of your callout is just, but you further yourself as an id--t and follower (entertaining) by consistently demonstrating you don't know the definition nor have a desire to seek it and the accurate term for what you describe.

@hg, I’m reaching a point where I can’t tolerate being spoken to in a condescending manner anymore.

@bt why start a thread? Why not just give us your definition. Nike has its own version and so do you.

Let’s just shift to harassment and discrimination or hostile work environment rather than “toxic.” That covers the legal terms of what might also be known to most as “toxic”.

Bingo

the executive structure at Nike resembles something similar to what you might
find in a company in India

Is it nepotism if you’re hired because you’ve got a sorority connection?? What I’ve taken from past reviews is that I need to be more sorority girl or friendly frat bro to get ahead.

I also suggest you start a thread with "What is the definition of toxic?"

According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, nepotism is defined as favoritism based on kinship, particularly in appointment to a job. It refers to the practice of bestowing patronage or showing unfair preference to relatives or close friends in business or politics, rather than hiring or promoting based on merit.

Calling us idio..ts will not prompt us to confess what we actually think is happening at Nike. But you get the picture from the above definition.
