@bt a coworker on my team created a program for CDW leadership 3 years ago to auto create opps in CPQ from SPS quotes over x threshold. Found $ to pay for and implement it. CDW shot it down 3 separate occasions.

@bt SPS is the Ford Pinto of ancient systems, it was fine for a time but give me a break, it's 20 years out of date and doesn't talk to anything, barely talks to itself but at least it doesn't catch on fire (so far)

LOL. Love that this site auto-tagged this post as a "Rant".

Go to the office hours. Between that, Amy (DEM) and the CRM email box I am getting my answers.

Meh. It is fine.
With all the other things going on at CDW, picking apart the things I don't like about CPQ is not my top priority. Can we focus on the direction the company is headed in instead!

Right, because we all embraced SPS right away and loved it right away.
I know my peers and I were grasping to AS400 for 10 years until we were forced to switch to SPS. I still feel AS400 was faster but SPS clearly was more robust.
Salesforce is definitely hurting my head sometimes because I am struggling to think of all these things happening on quotes vs. orders. However, I have also noticed about 10 things CPQ can do that we have asked for SPS to do for a decade.
Not going to lie, I can do an SPS quote faster than a CPQ quote today. However, I am already doing my CPQ quotes twice as fast as I was two days ago.
I will say this, I am so glad I don't have to create Opportunities on my own any longer. CPQ auto-creating that for me is actually saving me a ton of time and effort.
