Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Executive Exception Process is …

Leadership claiming that remote workers are still part of the team is questionable. More and more commentary about an “ executive exception process” that no one will touch or take up the chain to get a posting for remote consideration is out there. No one is willing to run through the process because they don’t want to stand out. Bottom line; tank pulse. And dont stop just rate everything as LOW and call it a day. People uprooted their lives to accept positions and this is what we get.

@bp This would not fly as a 'voluntary termination'. If the conditions of your employment include USAA know you were remote for years and then decided to arbitrarily force you to move, that would not be reasonable. They can do it, and use it as grounds for legal termination. But it would be a constructive dismissal...meaning they forced you out against your will despite claiming it was 'your choice'.

You wouldn't get the severance, but you would get unemployment insurance.

Our reviews will be influenced by MSAT while EMG got rid of ESAT to make their numbers look good.

@bd oh they will, next time mass layoffs are needed. They'll say that all employees have X months to move within 60mi of an office or will be considered voluntarily terminated.

If you're remote and are not preparing for this right now, you are incredibly naive as to the state of USAA and the economy writ large.

It's only a question of when at this point, not if.

@b4 I’d love if one of my metrics was so bad that the company just decided not to track it anymore. Perks of being an executive, I guess.

@ah oh wtf ever. They will not do 100% rto. Theres not enough desk space for one. That and the push back would cripple the place.

Tanking Pulse doesn't matter anymore. Notice in #your voice, the employee satisfaction score was not shared. That metric is no longer scored against the EC because is was as low as 33%. Remember, you as a front line are SCORNED and HARASSED if you got 80%. Fu%$ these hypocrites. AND THEIR FAMILIES!!

Tick tock remote workers, your time is almost up. Better start making plans to move back now or brush up on those resumes!
