Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

Experience doesn't matter anymore

The culture has shifted dramatically in the last two years. Managers with zero experience are making decisions that make no sense. You're not allowed to question anything or suggest better ways. The culture has turned from bad to worse. Every day I'm trying to find a way out. I think many here are in the similar boat.

I completely understand where you're coming from, and I’m in full support of the concerns you raised. The environment today is very different from when many of us were brought onboard, and the teams, expectations, and decision‑making structures we originally aligned with have evolved dramatically.

Unfortunately, a lot of the processes and accountability we used to rely on just aren’t functioning the same way anymore. It often feels like the people making critical decisions aren’t equipped with the historical context or operational experience needed to guide the work effectively. That disconnect makes it tough for those of us still trying to maintain quality and consistency.

You’re definitely not alone in how you feel, and I appreciate you being open about it.

@hx it amazes me how most people are crown don’t understand this. The company is dying under debt. Every time the stock drops the worse it becomes. At some point they will have to reduce the dividend which ooff good luck bc that reduce your equity more and value. It’s called a debt spiral and only way out is to sell.

Am familiar with this type of manager. Specializes in dominating meetings and calls by su-king up all air time, racing to answer any questions first before anyone can speak, correcting you publicly even when they don’t actually know what they’re talking about, repeating whatever you already said and adding irrelevant information to capitalize on your knowledge, interrupting if people are listening to what you’re saying, leaving you out of meetings, or calling you into meetings not because they think what you say has value, but because it’s “back up” so you can support them better and reassure their egos if anything goes awry and they lose ground, peacocking and claiming credit if their direct manager is present, arguing semantics for no reason, being contrarian because they think it makes them look like a deep thinker, refusing training and career growth to the team because they feel threatened, and all the while this persons direct upper manager remains indifferent and apathetic because “the work is getting done.” As someone else said, narcissists are everywhere, not just at CC. Thank you and may you find career advancement and happiness somewhere let the rest of us know so we can join you.

@g4+1kmjxs6vg because of declining revenue 5% yoy fiscal year 2026 projection is 3.8 billion. High debt to equity ration even after the fiber sale.. just think they paid 2.1 billion in dividends and only made 414 million

Never did. Merit, experience, qualifications, and work ethic isn't the keys to success. Granted that can open doors for you. However people on the top played a different game they're better at self promotion, socializing, and putting themselves in a spot to been seen requardless of their compentaance If you are going to live in this corporate world the early you learn that the better off you'll be and its not just crown.

It is time to consider investing in stock from our competition. We are imploding by the week.

Two years? The culture went down hill after districts were eliminated. All are a part of a multi year downsizing when the company will be sold off in piece, towers is next.
