Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

restructure is coming

Elon eliminates non‑producing technical authority
He doesn’t keep:
Chief Engineers who don’t engineer
Scientists who don’t build
Fellows who don’t ship
Architects who don’t design
Highly paid engineers that do nothing, should be let go.

Look out for having to interview for current job with no assurance of placement.

Of course restructuring is coming. You will know it is coming when they blame predecessors. Count 12 to 18 months and watch for the org shifts.

10x is exaggerated but from personal experience a principal can expect 200k to 240k base with 40% to 90% per year is stock equity bonus. That stock matters. Quite a few people including me looking forward to IPO.

He pays chiefs and principals 10x what Honeywell does. By your definition there are no highly paid individuals at Honeywell. Second rate talent across the board.

It’s interesting to see a lot of departure posts on LinkedIn from the very caste you’re describing. Highly paid fluff roles in indirect functions - some of them are smart enough to realize that their positions are the first to go as the organization attempts to lean out and get more focused.

We unfortunately also have leaders who don’t lead and are cut from the same cloth so this probably won’t happen.
