Is it just me or does anyone else feel like we now work in an alternate universe? It’s like a new operating manual has gone out to a select few as to how we all should behave and function in our roles and interact with others and none of it makes any sense at all? I constantly feel like I am being gas-lit.

@ad I'm embarrassed to say I have gotten to this point as well in the last 6 months... Never though it would happen.
Well acquainted with gas lighting, but we have entered the twilight zone. Complete reality distortion. Often for reasons unknown. I don't know who benefits from any of this. I've experienced every emotion, now I'm dead inside.
Not many left that would benefit from a VERP. In reality, they would probably benefit from getting laid off more.

If there was a verp this round, you would have got the package info already. Verp doesn’t follow a rif, it front runs if offered.
So far havnt heard anything in Surgical and cardiac. Guess they made it through without impacts.
@bj In years past, VERP is offered by end of Jan with deadline to elect by early March. Of course, since RIFs are happening in early Feb this year, seems there is no set schedule for such things

Gaslighting is the new normal at MDT. The stock continues to struggle many years after COVID and Excomm wants us all to believe that it's all because of currency exchange issues or supply chain issues...like supply chain issues couldn't be fixed over 6 years. Ultimately, our competitors have passed us by, but it can't be the fault of Excomm, right? They all got raises and didn't Jeff get his new jet too....pay for performance, my a-s. It's gaslighting, through and through.
