Laid off from third party today. Phone calls being made, no calendar invite.

I am the one that made this post. I made it as a heads up to others in case they got the call. My head is still reeling one week later. I’m struggling with this. However I will say although I wanted to last longer, I’m released it’s over.
@mc you are right my apologies.
@gx Thank you!!! This is information that can make posts on this forum credible without additional questions being asked. Names are not needed to protect the individuals identities. I wouldn't mind a package at this point in my BofA career, but I also sympathize for people who do need their job. The problem that I see in this thread of posts is not the fact of people of losing their jobs, but the reality of people facing the truth. The additional context substantiates the truth and instead these people rather dwell on fake posts that occurred on this forum for several years. You can downvote my post, but in reality you just can't handle the truth. If you do fill out the survey, hopefully you will be honest and complete it truthfully!!!
No need to get defensive. I asked the question because people post fake stuff everyday. No one is oblivious to what is happening. Also, I wasn’t asking for anyone to publicly name themselves. Just more detail as it could have been fake. Such as the team as there is more than one in third party, address, etc. Posting the address confirmed it for me. Ge-z…people can’t just ask a question anymore without someone responding an ugly manner. If you don’t like my question, just ignore me.
@gj+1kre4mm6g Naming names gets posts deleted, per site rules.
For people saying they need more context and that this isn’t real, be grateful you didn’t get laid off. Not sure what more evidence you need. People were literally laid off at the bank. AI and modernization are to blame. Yes Severance packages were given.
Google also talks about it. Just research it and stop acting oblivious to what’s going on. Companies are laying people off in massive amounts.
@gj several people provided info… you want people to publicly name themselves? Read the posts
@gj Layoffs happened. There were about 6 people I know of in the Pennington NJ office who were let go, on the 4th floor of the 1400 building. Vendor management type roles. Some who were employees for more than a decade. It is a very strange time to be in the office.
I appreciate this post being made, but can we have more context? It’s hard to know if any of this is true without names. This forum is anonymous so if you don’t want to mention your managers’ name, at least give more context such as are you an employee or contractor). Direct managers will notify you if you were let go then you would speak to HR. Unless you are an employee that is known to be unapproachable then someone else would speak to you.
Im not saying the OP is lying, just need more info.
@cj Based on the track record of FALSE LAYOFF INFORMATION on this forum, you have to ask the W's. Without substantial information on layoff locations and groups, you cannot trust the posts. When I swipe my badge at the entrance, I always wonder if that will be the last time. This site is the only heads up that I'll ever get. A package would be great, but at times quitting right now may be the only answer with the BS growing in the workplace. So take your own advice, and instead of a dog, walk your hamster!!!
@ch sure😁if that makes you feel better. Then ok.
I was notified by someone in Third Party but not anyone in (my) leadership. My direct said they had short notice. Have a feeling they actually chose who would go. @aw
@a6 you think that someone is posting fake lay off information to get what — 11 likes? You need to get off line for a bit. Go take the dog for a walk or something.
@bh you don’t seem to have a really good understanding of how the bank does business. If Global HR Has outsourced some functions, for example Disability claims processing to Sedgwick, then it’s not about “kickbacks”. It’s about a vendor providing a cost effective service. HR and other departments at the bank have many outsourced non profit center functions - payroll, benefits management. These companies can do a complicated function for cheaper than the bank can staff for it. It’s been going on for oh about 30 years.
@av
The point here is that the vendor is someone hr knows and is going to receive a very juicy kick back
SSFO lost quite a few as well today, various locations and job levels.
Several people were laid off in vendor management. It’s so surreal. So far no public announcement has been made. We don’t even know if it’s over or how many more rounds it’ll continue. I’m just looking at my phone wondering if I’m next. Smh.
They’re saying the layoffs occurred in Global Third Party Management under the GSEP organization. Managers directly called their employees to notify them of the notice. There was no meeting invites or a third party vendor used.
Are you saying that the bank "Hired" a third party vendor to start reaching out to bank employees that are being laid off or you meant contracted bank employees are being laid off via phone?
If the bank hired a third party vendor to lay off internal bank employees then what's the point of having managers and/or HR. Then again if I am not mistaken parts of HR is outsourced. Smdh
@OP I’m a dummy. What does third party mean?
@a6 thank you my head is spinning. I’m glad I got laid off so I don’t have to deal with people like you.
No this is real. People are getting laid off. Please be compassionate and have some heart. No one would lie about getting laid off.
WELL!!!! Need more details as to minimum context including location and group. Otherwise, the post(s) are not considered valid to the rest of us. This is just phishing to acquire id--ts such as me to gain hope that packages may exist.
I’m so sorry. This place has gotten so shady!!
Same here, laid off from third party as well.
