Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

S-xism

Has anyone ever successfully reported a colleague for s-xism?

I’m not sure what route to go but it’s an issue multiple people have noticed.

WARNING: If you have the confidence in your situation and go to report it to HR, it will seem OK and even comforting at first. Flash forward to the end of the statute of limitations and you will be eliminated. HR is NOT YOUR FRIEND.

When your chief ethics officers have always been the same s-x, rest assured that the other s-x will never get a fair or complete review of the s-xism complaint, such that any and all claims of age, s-x, race or other protected class discrimination should be completely assembled and taken directly to the EEOC and the other federal government entities that the bank values and caters to. If you are employed by an affiliated entity (there is no One U.S. Bank when it comes to employment status), also go directly to your state attorney general as they would have the ability to enforce their state's discrimination laws against the affiliated entity.

i personally knew someone who was repeatedly sent to HR for comments ranging from s-xist to bullying behavior. Nothing happened as he was in a higher tier of management and he was allowed to continue working. Once lawsuits were threatened by employees he was asked to "resign"...not fired as then he wouldnt have gotten his sweet golden parachute.

@b1 oh my god are you for real?? THIS is the lie you’re telling yourselves now?? No way is it possible a woman could ever be more skilled or experienced or qualified than a man and chosen for those attributes, right?! Craziness. Good lord. Maybe women should start reporting their male colleagues for s-xism every time a man is promoted instead of her.

This HAS TO be the troll with the “women are the downfall of USB” post.

If you have proof of discrimination, you could go to the Ethics hotline. You have the ability to report anonymously if you’d like. Just know they are looking for documented proof of policy violations. I’m sorrry to hear you’re experiencing perceived s-xism. This company is a hot mess.

If you are referring to scenarios in risk where women favor other women, good luck getting anyone to listen. Not saying it isn’t happening (it is), but nobody cares.
