Why does the company reshelve unpicked up online order textbooks? We have a ton. These aren’t technically the property of follett. Seems at best unethical, maybe worse.
Manager says it the company policy. School needs to know.

Some disconnect between the student and a parent paying for the text?
I’m sure the university and the parents will be happy with Follett.
Tell the school. They may not agree with Follett. I suspect they’d object to no refund processed.
@bg No, they were not refunded. The stores are instructed to take any orders over 21 days old (after several attempts to contact the customer) and add that item back to inventory. If the customer comes in, three months later requesting a refund, we usually honor it.
So the customer was contacted and never responded. We can't store them forever.
Students receive texts/emails alerting them they need to pick their order up. We would also call and attempt to speak to them or leave messages. If not picked up after so many days they are considered abandoned. Every company has such a policy (Old Navy, Walmart, etc).
Were they paid for?
Was a refund issued?
Perhaps you know the answer?
