Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Mall walkers in the main hall

If you go to the office in EP these days, you'll see plenty of pretty girls smiling and drinking coffee, and also ladies in hijabs walking laps. This place is such a joke.

@ff Good to see s-xism is alive and well at Optum. Im guessing you also say grab your coworkers by pu--y.

They are ki-ling time while waiting to get pregnant and go on maternity. Or on tinder looking for a rich daddy.

@e3 this is disturbing to hear. No external jobs and no way to move internally.. someone told me they had an easier time moving out than internally, now it all makes sense

@e6 Pointing out issues in the workplace is absolutely necessary, you bootlicker. I clearly said I made it to the final rounds, so was obviously shortlisted. And leadership do know of each other and ask around about candidates. This is common sense, but I don't expect you to understand that based on your lobotomized response.

@e3 you sound like horrible person to work with. Arrogant and a complainer. Managers don’t get notified you are applying and don’t get notified until you are shortlisted.

@dd The leadership in every department know of each other and they all communicate. Promotions are not merit based. If you are in a role that is difficult to replace or are a high performer, you aren't going anywhere. Especially in the climate of all these Rifs.

I've applied for many internal roles. Most of the roles I apply to, I qualify for 100% or are over qualified for. A small percentage, I qualify for 95%. This is their strategy: The roles I perfectly qualify for...I am rejected immediately. Those roles were posted with someone already in mind, and they don't interview anyone that could seem like a better candidate. The small amount of roles that I qualify 95% for, I may get an interview. However, whenever I reach the final stage, after great feedback...I basically get ghosted.

Your leadership knows when you interview, and they do get passive aggressive about it.
I happen to have a high stress, complex role and work with people who are absolutely rotten. I have no potential replacement.

@bz I meant internally, you doorknob. Leaving for an external role is a pipe dream at this point. Considering the countrywide layoffs.

@bz How are the blocking you from finding a job? Are you an employee under contract? I'm just curious.

@bz it is not possible to block someone from leaving…

I just so happen to be in an organization filled with "good ol' boys." A bunch of dunderheaded, dude bros. It's he-l. The mo--nic upper leadership give all the easy work, bonuses, and raises to their do-nothing, dusty, dude bro friends. They're all walking, breathing lawsuits waiting to happen. Why am I still there? They're blocking me from leaving. This company only promotes terrible people. Really...they're all gross.

@bf you need to be a Karen or a Dy-e to get hired. So yeah...

@b4 I mean, maybe if all these people doing laps tended to their jobs. DEI hires no doubt

Bro unlocked a new level of unhinged Karen. Instead of worrying about 'walking while black,' now employees have to feel threatened just for ‘walking while female’ or ‘walking while Muslim’ in their own office. I’m guessing OP feels this way about Jews too, but maybe can’t identify them by appearance alone.

Let’s hope OP doesn’t manage women, work with women, or have daughters. Very creepy and gross.

Women in the workplace should actually be doing some work. It's probably HR planning the next round of layoffs... But naaaa... take another lap...

Was the point of the post that people should be chained to their desks or that woman should not be in the workplace? I'm not sure where to target my fake rage.

You're weird AF. Your mind is preoccupied thinking about these women/hijabis, and mind you, they aren't even thinking about you. Just living in your mind rent-free with your hating ahh. If you don't like it, get back to your desk, TF.

Hey, if you force me to be in the building, doesn't mean I am going to be sitting at a desk
