GP recent job offer

Just got a recent job offer from global payments. I will be working with genius but makes me nervous with the acquisition and layoff consolidation.. any recent news in regards to plans? What’s going on

Don't do it. They layoff people all the time regardless of skill or loyalty or how you are performing.

@OP depends on the department. Most are being off shored. Some need short term bursts and you’ll be out after.

I'd like to add that while it's probably the safest product to work on in terms of the current rounds of layoffs, they're also training software engineers in India on Genius (at least according to a software engineer I've spoken with). This makes it a bit difficult to gauge the long-term job security, especially since layoffs are the favorite quick fix at Global. I'd recommend keeping that in mind before making a decision.
