Thread regarding Fidelity National Information Services Inc. layoffs

Quiet firing versus layoffs

I’ve seen people get slowly starved of chances until they leave on their own with no raises, no projects, and no recognition. It starts to feel like getting pushed out without the paperwork. Makes me wonder if this quiet push out is happening more often than real layoffs these days.

@1g5 RIFs, little recognition via merit, no ability for managers to promote, no real prospects, constant worrying by staff for their positions, monthly fire-drills for crazy initiatives from above, constant sales re-orgs affective pipeline, gaslighting from the top.. It's a stupidly toxic atmosphere. Managers try to keep it away from the staff, and succeed 80% of the time.
If people suceed and do a good job then it's despite of upper management not because of them.
I really think it's a strategy to make people leave on their own by making it a hostile and anarchic environment.

@w5 I imagine we're in separate departments then. My teams have not only been RIF but are losing work it feels like.

@ec slow? Most of us are having to do more (and more) with less with ever-dropping morale with continual RiFs

I think that is best description of what FIS do. Let people leave in silence. As all thing badly planned by SF & Bob AI, this is also not working as market is not great at the moment.

@bf Severance is 2 weeks pay for every year of service. Unless your FT years of service were grandfathered in, max would be 2 to 3 years, so maybe a month or so of pay? Take the new job would be my suggestion.

Yeah, work is slow. I'll use that time to improve my craft though. Not quit. If you wanna pay me for sitting around right now, go right ahead. The job market is down and I'm not gonna risk it.

@d5 at the rate that they are going, he may have to. Tickets could be sold to see him manage the hideous systems while on calls.

Legacy Franklin Templeton employees are being starved out. If they take another job prior to the finish of the take back to Franklin, they miss their hard won severance. It is estimated, but not confirmed by Franklin that the final take back date will be after the end of Peak Season (the tax filing deadline for 2026). So, April, May, June??? If offered a job in the meantime, what is the correct choice? Take it and miss, substantial payouts or take the job? These are big decisions and we are being tortured by these eejits.
