Why is it so hard to let us know in advance, instead of leaving us stressed out for an entire week? Well, more stressed than usual.

@b6 you are 100% right on the money here. Our new CEO has been invisible, while making big claims that things will be different this time around. “What got us here won’t get us there, etc…”
And meanwhile the majority of leaders here are not pushing their teams to innovate, and there is no punishment for failure to do so. Everyone is in a holding pattern it seems, keeping their heads down. One can see this in action any time you ask someone to do their job - their first response (at F8) is to ignore you. Then, if they must respond, they do so from a position of defense, then they just kick and scream until they’re left alone. And they are permitted to do this by their leaders, and their leaders, and so on.
Nobody wants to be “the bad guy” that demands that people actually EARN their salaries? Fine - but we will watch this ship continue to flounder and eventually it will sink - at least we won’t have made anyone upset by demanding they actually contribute 🤷♂️
I’m fed the fug up
Not just mgmt. Lv 6 and above.
Th directors responsible for the deteriorating moral have been at GF since day 1 and weaseled their way up the ranks.
@be who is this HR, company man like Mike D, or keith B. You will be next, get off this site company man. You are apart of the problem at GF. Making it all boys club and then getting rid best workers cause you didn't like them
You are making a rookie mistake. Yes, things are terrible at Intel, but they have not grown us as the absolute bottom of the barrel of the semi conductor. They are just taking that spotlight and masquerading in front of us, but when the smoke clears, it will still be Globalfoundries
Imagine claiming the whole company is in doomsday when Intel is in way worse shape…
It is obvious these are targeted layoffs, mostly management. Malta doesn’t have much engineering or technician staff to sacrifice due to continuing attrition.
It’s because our leadership doesn’t know how to lead. Extremely poor communication upward and downward. Probably the worst in the industry. It’s why we are perpetually in the position we are in externally and internally. Literally All of them need to be removed for folks better suited to these roles. We are effectively leaderless with just some puppets occupying those positions. The senior mrgs, heads of x and dept are the worst at this. No bad people just horrible mgrs and leaders. And truth is they are comfortable they don’t want to change or for things to change.
Sounds like mostly E shift and upper mgmt impacted so far.
If it was to happen this week tonights shift is their last of week so we may see how much is effected after 6 or 7pm.
