Sharing Success Stock Award

Are they still doing the Sharing Success stock award this year? I haven't heard anything about it yet.

Gosh, I hope not! It really just feels like a stock buy back incentive for the bank. I don’t understand how stocks work and as soon as I think, I understand and somebody says “well no, then you gotta think about this aspect…” or “that’s good only if…”.

I’m too busy trying to figure out affordable meals from my family and where the best gas prices are so I could drive into the office to sit next to nobody that I work with… just leave minimal time for me to try and learn about the stocks and what I need to do with them. I attended just about every learning session they pump out, but nobody actually says anything on those that truly teach us about the stocks… they always just seem like a way for them to force us to accept them. And then when you go to cash out, the numbers don’t make any sense. All I know is I get significantly less money than what it says on the site and end up with huge tax implications. I dread dealing with it every year and their reminder emails to accept the stocks or an obnoxious reminder that they don’t give us reasonable raises so we can manage our money how we would prefer vs waiting years to withdraw it.

It also always seems like the price of the stock is high until March or April roll around and we can actually withdraw funds. It just feels like one big scam.

they LOVE putting out that big aggregate number out to the media to get all the fakey puff pieces all over the press.

Never mind that with the huge # of employees, after taxes, etc. it comes to only about 7 cents per person.

So once again, I will look forward to my 7 cent check and buy... well, nothing. Because it makes no difference.

I rather have an actual raise instead.

They did it about Christmas time that first year only, as I recall

@b8 thank you. For some reason I thought they announced at end of year.

I'm sure they will continue it. They get to dislocate their shoulders out while patting themselves on the back so hard boasting about how much they are paying out - knowing full well they will likely never actually pay half of it. If they paid bonuses in cash...the number would be the number. With Sharing Success, the number is a lie.

Usually, it comes with the earnings announcement.
