Impossible to find anything on Zero. Any site keeps spinning for minutes. The much vaunted and showcase implementation of AI enabled agent zero has never worked for me... Keep getting gateway error any time I try to use it. What a joke... Emblematic of the state of technology at the company. Lots of noise and rah rah BS followed by no delivery.

We don’t sell AI tech tools. We sell shoes and apparel. Get on board.
The team that is working on agent zero has lots of good people on it but on the whole is a bit of a dumpster fire.
As it is, copilot is better and has better access to Nike internal stuff.
Zero has always been a nightmare for search.
"A more interesting point to me is that rather than fix the dumpsters fire that are zero, confluence, workvivo, etc., we're building agents to try to handle search, rather than build a meaningful a consistent approach to knowledge management."
This person gets it ^ @ b7. forgot Yammer though lol.
Nike where we never bought implemented a new tool we didn't like. I always said you don't get budget for a new tool unless it includes an actual dates included divest plan for the one it's "supposedly" replacing.
Ranting about tools doesn't belong on layoff? Actually... these new tools and programs and endless spin cause layoffs by burning budgets on losing strategies.
Just the fact that this is what we’re having tech resources work on this is embarrassing. Make some cuts. Too many in tech sitting around trying to find something to do since we can’t work on scaling up supply chain because design and marketing don’t have our biz growing.
The all hands where MD had the team present for 20 minutes on this big win for upgrading an employee search site. WTF?
OP - volunteers to test something not yet released and provide feedback to the team.
Goes here instead.
This specific error was addressed multiple times in the Slack channel for AZ testers.
@eq I don't know man. There's not really a relationship between hype and success on a project. I think agent zero is an interesting if possibly flawed idea, but I try not to lose sleep over it. I don't think it's really taking anything away from my work.
@b7 if agent zero is in active development, why is is in production? Or is IT so clueless that they don't know basic SDLC lifecycle? If they're trying to mimic some sort of data or use case mining why not say so...it's useless cr-p.
The bigger picture is that this level of dysfunction front and center is demoralizing! If this is how hyped programs get delivered where is the hope for solutions not in the spotlight?
"NFT's! Blockchain! AI!"
Meanwhile, Nike can't do the basics in just about anything.
Speaking of Agent Zero, it's funny that the commentary went from "How cool!" to a dumping ground of comments explaining how the AI makes a task 5 times more complicated than doing it yourself.
We'll be seeing a lot more of that.
@b7 failing at basics and chasing what’s cool is Nike 101
@b7 +1 for the pluralism "dumpsters fire"
Yes zero is a nightmare, but agent zero is still in active development...it's a little early to be talking about lack of follow-through IMO.
A more interesting point to me is that rather than fix the dumpsters fire that are zero, confluence, workvivo, etc., we're building agents to try to handle search, rather than build a meaningful a consistent approach to knowledge management.
The trash pile that is workvivo signaled the beginning of the end for Zero.
