Not in India or for H1Bs. They continue to hire cheap foreigners to replace you.

@d5 It matters because right now hiring in the USA is practically non-existent.
I think the answer is it depends what country you live in... In the USA? Yeah, mostly frozen. Any other country - specifically Mexico and India? Game on baby! They can hire 2 ppl in India or Mexico for the price of one US citizen
@cv why does that matter? We're a global company
@b6 How many were in America vs India?
A "hiring freeze" is the normal and actually hiring people is not.
The few and "lucky" organizations that have a hiring budget are just backfilling senior people with cheaper workforce (i.e. college kids and people in "low cost locations").
Sad part is that it's nothing new. There was a a bit of a hiatus when the pandemic hit and that's part of why it's even worse now.
Where are you getting these numbers?
Couple college grads and 1 regular hired in last 2 years after years of layoffs
It can be, but not here. We hired over 6000 people last year and 7500 the year before. We've hired over 400 this year already
Yes the hiring freeze is real. What Dell wants to do is to get you lazy a-s workers to start doing your job so Dell doesn’t have to keep hiring more people.
@ah Not in Enterprise. The hiring freeze is real. The number of accounts per rep is growing rapidly.
I don't know about a freeze, but my team on ISG support is been hit so hard this month management brought up the possibility of hiring more folks for the first time since 2016.
Depends where. ISG Services? Firing US employees and replacing each with 5 Indians at an outsource provider.
they're hiring copious amounts of new blood from colleges to curb the attrition in sales. Like hundreds at a time.
no, ISG is firing and hiring new roles.
