Is anyone else seeing a sudden increase in invites for attending career related sessions? In Greensboro/Triad they just keep coming out. Resume building, networking, luncheons with leaders on career paths. Why so many all of a sudden? Anyone other areas seeing the same?

@av - exactly. our comms team is always told every year to delay, defer, spin, whitewash, etc. any policies, announcements, news, etc. that could be viewed as anything other than positive.
After all the results are tallied and the masses return from Summer holiday breaks (haha), then gloves off and the sh!t show resumes until next Spring.
wash, rinse, repeat.
Been this way since the annual fake survey began.
Don’t complete the survey. It’ll drive them crazy
Survey is coming up
It is just a heads up preparing us for major layoffs ahead after the survey
basically they are saying get the fu-k out of here
Don't forget to blast them on the survey for the lack of any qualifications or experience for the managers they choose to promote and hire. It is absurd in many cases who they'll put in a management role.
@b4 - that's probably because they've already hired/fired all the talent out there so no one wants to get that text message in the middle of a Teams meeting telling them that their contract has been terminated effective immediately.
Yep - it is all about the upcoming survey to boost "engagement scores". Don't forget to BLAST them in the comments about WFH policies during this time of high commuting costs when the bank tries to pretend how "green" they are.
A lot of new remote high paying roles are being listed and nobody is applying?
Consider this... some have observed a pattern for many years now where the cheerleading amps up just just before the EE survey. Recency bias influences scores. Post survey close, some hammer drops.
Career mobility is often one of the areas that get a lot of attention just before the survey. Ditto benefits sessions, etc.
Yes, I’m in GT and have received multiple Global Technology Career Focus Week emails recently. Completion of week long activities during next week earns an Academy ‘badge’.
