Forget the fantasy that management will lift a hand for me.
They could guide, support, advocate, mentor, recognize effort,
offer growth, opportunity, promotion, encouragement—
all the things leadership is meant to embody.

My manager do none of it.
Not a gesture, not a word, not a path forward.
My manager simply wears that practiced smile on every 1-2-1 call,
a mask polished to perfection,
while behind the scenes he lets every chance for my advancement
wither untouched.

No support.
No recognition.
No promotion.
Nothing at all—
only the quiet betrayal of someone who pretends to lead
but never truly stands beside you
With "..we appreciate it"..

What do you think the attendance ratio of OT employees to customer/partner was?

If they have enough money for this, they have enough money to give us inflation matching raises

Given the stock is still down 15% from a month ago I would say it was another notch in the failure belt.

@ed What else could the sponsors pay for lol

It's that or THAT'S where the raises went.

Notice that Sandy Ono has dropped her Mickey Mouse squeaky cheerleader voice and p-m p-m rah rah act. She must have been behaving embarrassingly like that for Mark.

@bx honestly I think it's a loss. I've heard of times we were begging partners and customers to come talk at these.

But if there's no circlej-rk we look like we're dying faster

If we could pay for it all ourselves we wouldn't have sponsored ads on top of very blatant AI filler ones.

I wonder if the ROI on holding the OT World is worth it or if we are making a loss each time ?

Let's scare the shi_ out of customers saying they are going to fail unless they really think about how to implement all this cr-p.
How about a real leader saying, we are here to help you navigate this new frontier!

The two previous comments, when combined are a pretty good metaphor for working at OT.

I joined a bit late, just in time to see a dancing furry. That set the tone for the rest of the show.
