Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

First day after OHS, no email yet

I wonder if they’ll start next week. I am really worried about my job since there is someone else at my site with my same title

Following the 2023 template.

You'll get a meeting invite late in the night of Sunday, Nov 30th or Dec 7th (at the latest) for an early Monday morning meeting. Check the invites....If an HR person is in the invite, you already know what's going down. Also, if the meeting is 15 mins or less (mostly 10 mins), you know what's coming.

During the meeting. They will mute everyone's mic to avoid questions. There will be no grey area. They will direct all questions following the call to HR.

Recommend....Record the meeting using your phone or an alternative. Just in case you need it. Back up all your files on your computer to an alternative device. Formatting your laptop won't work, since it stores everything on one drive.

HR will NOT answer any questions you send or answer any calls or messages. You are now outside the PepsiCo club. Prepare your finances accordingly.

As we speak there are 4 men walking warehouse with our PAM. No one seems to know who or where they came from. Im thinking Frito Lay? We are Pepsi Distribution in Southern California

@af Nope. No pre-warning. If the notification meeting is for Monday, they'll typically send out an invitation late Sunday night. Other than that, they'll want you to stay on the defensive so the damage to them is minimal, since you're in a state of shock.

They (HR) won't return your calls and/or emails to answer your questions. You'll be isolated pretty much from the team/organization. Everyone outside of the team will be shocked by you leaving...But that means...they're happy it wasn't them. Don't be fooled.

New guy here

Do they usually send an email in advance, say layoffs coming x weeks and tell everyone work from home? Or if it's first week of December they just start terminating?
