I got a Job offer from Wells Fargo. How does the Executive Director (ED) role at Wells Fargo compare to the Band 4/Director role at Bank of America? It seems really impressive to me.

@be as a former m3 who had p5 under me, I can assure you the bonus they get is nowhere neare m3 (maybe half to 3/4 if they have been there a long time). M4 make more on bonus but where they used to get it was in RSRs. Not sure now with the changes.
@OP I was a band 4 and a Band 3 at BofA and I would say Exec Director at Wells is closer to Band 4.
Listen to your soul.... Stay at boa. You are not free at Wells.
As a bac guy for 21 years and moved 4 years ago for a bag of money...stay at bofa...keep getting your 30 to 40 pto days plus holidays and run from wells where they give you 18 days and a ton of work and horrible technology
Which location is this? Pay varies by locations. Title doesn’t matter. Only salary matters! And there is no targeting bonus any more. How do they promise new hires?
I would stay at bofa
The past treatment of customers still matters maybe even more than today’s reality.
But yeah you want to be a director at a 54!+show… so more power to you.
@bt seems you wrote that from an outside opinion not an employee. Maybe just mind your business and find some hobbies.
@bt . FACT - You have no idea what’s going on at Wells Fargo. I can assure you that customers are treated very well relative to the industry these days.
Employee treatment is a different question.
I would never, as a matter of principle, work for a company that has done such damage to consumers and clients as Wells Fargo has. I would want a clean conscience and would tell them exactly that. Please do not accept a role with them.
What matters is the actual job title and not officer title. Sr. Lead Officer, Sr Manager, and Director all have the exec director officer title. That officer title used to be SVP, before it was changed.
@b4 💯 had 3 interviews with Chase recruiters last week all of them commented on how WF is paying above the norm at this level. It's also the same band that is now capped at $279K where cap was previously $300K which is why WF is targeting this same band in the displacements strategy and replacing with lesser paid external candidates.
really depends on the job family but p5 usually slots on between an m3/m4. m4 probably has higher bonus potential but from a salary range they are roughly the same in most cases assuming part of the same job family.
It's just a title and means absolutely nothing.
Similar but it's not apples to apples as job titles matter more at Wells than officer titles. Are you a people manager at BofA? Are you going to be a people manager at Wells? That will matter more.
Most of the jobs at Wells Fargo are impressive. They have to overpay to attract talent. Efficiency has not hit HR yet.
