*** humor of the CEO mind ***
Memo from Reginald T. Moneybags, CEO of MegaCorp Inc.
Subject: Stop Whining, You’re Lucky!
Dear Employees,
I’ve heard grumbles about “overwork.” Let’s be clear: you’re blessed! You get paychecks—real money for coffee and Netflix. Benefits? We’ve got health insurance (covers some stuff) and a 401(k) for your distant future. Holidays? You get five whole days off, including Widget Appreciation Day.
Overwork? Pfft. My 2 a.m. emails are motivational! Eighty-hour weeks build character, and you’ve got Wi-Fi and ergonomic chairs—practically a resort. Burnout? Grab an energy drink from the vending machine ($4, a steal). We even have a pamphlet with a 1-800 number for “mental health.”
You’re lucky to work here. Jobs aren’t easy to come by, so quit complaining and get back to making money for MegaCorp shine. Zoom karaoke is mandatory next week—bring your A-game.
Gratefully,
Reginald T. Moneybags
CEO

@b3 I would much rather be a so called “stupid” brave person that maintains my principles in calling out corrupt leadership and potentially get fired than I would want to be a so called “smart” coward person that abandons principles or has to only make them known here and not at work because you are afraid of losing your cushy job, which by the way will probably end some day anyway.

@ab Hi you down there calling others leaders. Sounds exactly what a leader would say. Suffer in silence 🤣 you are kidding. Ya have to be kidding. We are speaking up an speaking out right here, we are not alone an have each other right here, we are not stupid an will never let ya leaders know because that is when u leaders come for the outspoken 1st & fire the 1s that talk 2 much. Noone will speak up because no one is that stupid

If you work from home...please take advantage of doing nothing as often as you can. If you're in the office...pretend to start smoking/vaping and go outside and play Pokemon go on the clock. live life

@aa nah, don’t make it easy on them. If leadership wants to play these games then they deserve outspoken individuals that call them out on their social injustices and egregious employee ethical standards.

I kind of wonder if perhaps you are maybe a leader trying to interject with a comment in hopes that it encourages employees to suffer in silence.

@a9 You seem to have mastered a winning strategy. I was not aware of this culture. I was mistreated left and right as no one cares to do the right thing!! Just save the trouble.

Agreed. Overworked, underpaid, and unappreciated. That's why I've adopted a bare minimum approach when it comes to work. I no longer speak up because my perspective doesn't matter when it boils down to it. I also no longer volunteer to take on any additional work.
