@cg That only applies to people who work real, valuable jobs at real, valuable companies. Anyone who still works at Dell at this point is basically a trained monkey slapping a typewriter.
Have you seen how freakishly strong monkeys are? You've got to keep them terrified so they slap the typewriter instead of you.
@c4 Scaring employees generally does not increase long-term productivity and is largely considered a detrimental management style. While it might create short-term, superficial compliance, it fosters a toxic environment leading to reduced creativity, burnout, and higher turnover.
You guys deserve never-ending cull. you should be permanently scared stiff and sh-t in your pants both while at work and on weekends. Then you will be productive

@OP They are not going to do cuts in the last two weeks of the fiscal year. Cuts eill start the next weeks, so they can figure out bonuses for the remaining people.
In my 10+ years at Dell the big cull was always in late February/early March.

Get a life Ahole.... playing on people's emotions about layoffs... they are constant in Dell and I feel sorry for the people still having to live with that in there... I am one of the lucky 25 year vets that got away from it.
There are basically continual layoffs going on and have been for years. So why bother posting garbage like this?
Rumor has it they are letting go everyone other than MD and JC
