Multiple positions currently open at Paramount are listed as fully remote. What's the deal? Are these teams that have always been remote/have been grand-fathered in to stay this way?

@1b4 who is working from Puerto Rico? How is this allowed????
@109 disagree…bi---h
@1b4 does David Ellison know we have someone working from Puerto Rico?
@1b4 Do we have an office there now?
@y4 puerto rico
@109 how do you know this is a non-employee? It could be someone in your department.
The smartest move for the company would probably be moving a lot of the operational work overseas while keeping the executives and main creative people in the U.S. Stuff like engineering would fit naturally in India, customer support and moderation in the Philippines, marketing and creative work in Brazil. It would probably save the company a ton of money without really slowing things down.
Get rid of all of these phase 3 international leeches who slow us down with their laziness and further expose the work discrepancy between them and those of us who actually show up as much as we hate it.
@y8 really? That is a bold statement. Prove it!!!!
It is honestly disgusting that P is posting remote jobs after what they put employees through this past year. I enjoy watching this dumpster fire from afar as a very proud former employee that left on my own terms.
@yt agreed is the same non employee complaining about “ Caribbean” workers as if anyone cares where people are as long as they do the job.
There are only 3 people that post and reply here every day. No body else cares about the subject matter
@y4 The Caribbean remote workers are basically carrying the company at this point. The people “working from the beach” are still online at 8 PM fixing problems while the office crowd goes home.
The Caribbean remote workers are to blame. They add no value, want to work from a beach every day, and get a paycheck.
@ay boomerslop, take your risperdal gramps
When are you going to knock that boot out of your mouth, scrape the accumulated polish off your teeth, and get to work yourself?
Note: getting to work necessitates focusing only on your work and not being an abrasive butthole to your colleagues.
Let me know when you are capable.
They sent an email out this week asking employees to refer candidates to fill openings. Hmm, I wonder why it’s become hard to hire….
When remote workers are looked at again, a % will be able to stay remote. As for new hires, it's because we cannot attract top talent to sit in an office 5 days a week for no reason. They are making exceptions for certain roles.
