Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Lawsuits are fair game!

If you are laid off, negotiate your severance. Ask for 10 times your severance and settle for 5 times if you can get. Tell the reason to them while negotiating - discrimination based on national origin. H1-B workers are still employed, I am being laid off because I am American.

@b8 Unfortunately no one is sponsoring H1-B outside of F1 visa due to the $100,000 new filing fee

@ay take your political nonsense somewhere else. People don't seem to mind taking paychecks from American companies. Tell us how much the Chinese companies are paying you and others from your country. How many foreign workers do China, India or Russia allow? Governments rarely accurately represent the actual people of any given country.

@OP being American is a perfect reason to be selected. Americans are more disliked in the rest of the world than pretty much any nationality. Seriously, nobody trusts America, your president is a ret@rd, and nobody values your poorly made products (and when you name a popular product, pick one that China does not make for you).

People would rather trade with China, and are likely to trust them more. Even Iran seem to be telling more of the truth than your Orange Tw@t.

It is insane how blatantly racist and entitled you are, and I say that as an American. While you sit on the couch and watch Netflix, and are a drain on Oracle, most H1b employees are grinding 12-16 hour days. Just because you’re “American” doesn’t mean you’re entitled to a job. We will be looking in to your IP address OP.

Go ahead and make your life even more miserable. Whether you win or lose there will be a public record of the lawsuit. What company doesn't do background checks? You might get to the final interview every time but for some reason you never get hired.

There needs to be just a single precedence of someone winning such a case, and all these dimwits will come to their senses.
