Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

No massive layoffs in USA yet. Objective is to sow fear and unease

There have been few to any Chevron layoffs since announcing…is the objective to farm fear from staff? In Houston not seeing housing price decreases yet…

The HOU buildings downtown look like the CIA went through the hallways and did a “rendition to GITMO” naval base for waterboarding.
Lots of people are gone and those that remain are depressed and lethargic. The morale has shifted so much it is amazing. Even those that received positions are waiting for the next layoff. Many predict end of 2026.
The management team needs to take their heads out of the sand if the expect to form the remaining employees into a cohesive productive group of galley slaves. Dios mio!!!

@a2 should have been more precise direct operational and production based positions. No IT, finance, corporate bloat type positions either

Not sure why you are trolling, but US IT staff was cut by about 50% with almost all San Ramon based IT staff gone (a few got Houston based jobs) and even many that I know in Houston gone as well. Other groups had varying cuts, but many were pretty highly cut.
