I’m hoping our team is next. Seriously our team serves no purpose to be fair. It could be done by other departments or really just an automation in the system. It’s not survival it’s just the truth. Not sure why they even made this team as it doesn’t even make sense. Literally here collecting until the end because it pays something while looking elsewhere.

@10p how can anyone at this company possibly believe that it would still give a rip about their customers. Since about 2010, this company has only been about how much dough it can put in the pockets of executives. Elliott made it worse as they are about pure greed, plain and simple. The customer is the dead last concern with this company. Why else would they have about a thousand useless executive and management positions?
They are just throwing darts at this point, or looking at the departments that make the most and have others in a similar position to take on their extra work. But they have truly forgotten the customers and what some of those positions meant to the communities that they serve.
@nc Usually sometimes. Other times it just doesnt make sense.
I’ve heard in the past that they start with the folks on a team that make the most. I don’t know if there’s truth to that.
@bb nunya
They check with directors but that is the lowest it goes.
I was in a swamped meeting with a female that has a peer title to mine. We were discussing timelines and I mentioned fitting it into my work. She deada** said that this project that took almost none of her time was her entire job. Me and the other people just sat in silence as we are all completely swamped.
Maybe this team is all the VP/SVP levels that we have. That tracks they are doing nothing and to be fair we do keep making these levels.
@OP curious what your team is.
Interesting that some teams are so busy while others are kicked back. Does anyone know the real story of how riffed employees are chosen? I have heard that no one checks with managers to see who is needed. Are they throwing darts at an organizational chart?
Hopefully it's just you.
