I'd like to think this will be performance-base, but we all know that's never been true. They'll get rid of the highest earners who are usually the highest performers as well, crippling the company once again. Layoffs would be easier to swallow if they ever made sense.

@ax low performance layoffs were in Q1 of 2025.
@bt sorry, I should've clarified it was a CTO Town Hall. Tech facing.
And for the other person, 1 on 1s are not likely bad if scheduled ahead of time. He-l the last layoff was in a group meeting from what I heard, not 1 on 1s.
@bt yes, it is a CTO town hall meeting so I am not sure if everyone in the company gets the invite.
@bj So if I didn't get a town hall mtg but a 1on1 mtg request am I on the list? I surely hope so. I'm so done with this cr-p.
Is the invitation for 9/17 town hall been sent out already ?
@b5 theres a Town Hall meeting on the 17th so maybe. Lol
There should be another round of layoffs on the 17th, in the US.
It’s definitely not performance based anymore. The low performers were all let go many waves back in 2024.
we all know that it's a simple equation of how much you earn against how cheap to get rid of you. There is absolutely no thought given to impact on the business, personal performance, impact on colleagues etc.
Just another example of senior 'leqadership' who haven't got a clue!
@OP are they doing more this week?
