What this does is sc--w them out of matching 401k payouts.

@aw employees who are rated a 5 were never eligible for a merit raise if incentive compensation anyway.

Year end ratings are already finalized. If you are in the lowest group, OP is saying you are cut. 10% have to be rated as Did Not Meet Expectations. Which is crazy because conversations aren’t to start until December 8. But it doesn’t really matter.
What are 5's?
