All I can say is that when you leave DXC to join another place, it will feel lstrange at first in that the toxic atmosphere goes with you for a few weeks. It actually follows you since you've been conditioned to distrust management and put up a wall of protection. I can't explain it, but it will soon go, since it has nothing to do with your new job, colleagues or culture. But once you leave the DXC baggage behind, life is good. It feels like your career used to feel like before DXC ground you down to a statistic on an excel tab.
I had 2 annual pay rises. A Christmas party - all expenses paid for a well known celebrities headlining the night. Summer events. Family events. Expenses, travel - no problem. New kit - no problem. 2 Pay rises for the 2 years I've been here. In fact, they are not things that people think about now, because its normal again.
Looking back DXC feels like a prehistoric dinosaur - I don't mean because they are still using old kit and selling old ideas, but because it has a very out-dated attitude towards its staff and the gap between management and staff has got so far (from what I read) that I can't see the firm will ever recover. My view is that it will get broken up and profitable bits sold below $10 a share, since there is no future for it. I wasted a few years of my life at DXC - moving on is not easy for those still there. I know, I was also the frog in the boiling water with the 'out of the frying pan into the fire' thoughts. But once you take the step, its fine. In fact its bl00dy exciting and the change - any change - will be better, since the DXC bar is so low, seriously and statistically you won't find yourself in a worse situation that you do at DXC. So just take that step, for your own self respect and your family. Put yourself, your health and well being first and for once and for all - get out of that toxic place. I absolutely guarantee you will feel better.
