New team structures ( India, Serbia etc)

Anyone know what does the new announcement that came for India, Serbia mean? Does it mean(for instance) Indian employees report to their team leads in US? What happens to the off shore managers who manage only employees and or not actively involved in any functional areas?

I know that in multiple cases it has gone a few ways:

1) India manager becomes an IC (individual contributor) and reports to the US Manager and the US manager takes over all the India reports
2) the exact opposite as #1 (US manager becomes IC…)
3) India/US manager gets laid off as one takes over

Managers are no longer needed in India or Serbia - we have much more capable managers in the US who can deal with this stuff - but folks please make yourselves available for conference calls that suit our timezone.

Basically a way to get rid of more expensive onshore managers and have onshore staff report to offshore resources.

My guess is managers that are only admin type stuff will be shown the door. It says effective tomorrow so maybe all will be revealed tomorrow?
