Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

The Main Moment Humana Began to go Downhill

In my opinion, that start of Humana shifting from being a great place to work to being not so great a place to work are the following three factors entering the scene of the corporation.

—DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion)
—Cloud & AI (Artificial Intelligence)
—Outsourcing (H1B, Overseas, Contracting)

Yep, they went overboard with DEIs and outlines that just come in, ra-e the company for what they can and leave without a care for the destruction in their wake.

@bm totally agree with you, but sadly that's the point of view of many in our country, led by the king.

Re: Mediocre whyte person complains about DEI. Again.

We can all agree Humana has gone downhill. But trying to pin the blame on a more diverse workforce just shows how out of touch you are. It’s sad.

@p3 Please. This site is supposed to be anonymous (that is, if it truly is) so how in the world could you possibly know what is “truly eating” at someone based on their post and can make some sort judgement call (or even have any qualifications to do so) that they need memtal treatment. Are you some sort of mind reader? Sounds as of maybe you are the one that needs treatment.

Also I think you mischaracterized what it is that they were saying. They didn’t say they feared race at all. They made the point that they felt as though their race (no matter what race it is) to them should not be a factor whatsoever in whether they get hired or not. I am not sure why any person with common sense could have any qualms with that. I think they were trying to say that they would hope they got hored based on their merits for the job, which I am sure is what we all would want.

@jm Please. Blaming your fears on race is a convenient cover for what’s really eating you.

Maybe you can sort all of that out with some therapy. Racism is a form of mental illness. I hope you get the help you need.

@ja I have always had two fears when applying for jobs. One, that I would not be hired because of my race. And Two, that I would be hired because of my race.

Honestly we'd be in a much better place now if that Aetna merger went through. Instead we got McKinsey and Project Iceberg. The merger failing was actually the canary in the coal mine imo

@be No apologies necessary. That is totally understandable. Even I can see they were attempting to goad you into losing your temper. I applaud you for not allowing them to get to you. I also find Humana “wanting,” as you so eloquently put it.

@b7 My apologies for using the word “id--ts” in my previous post below. But some of the insolent comments on this thread and a few others are quite distasteful and trying to a person attempting to be a gentleman, yet while trying to fairly point out where a corporation such as Humana is found wanting.

@b6 Agree. It is just making use of intelligence strategy. These id--ts know who love AI because they think it will protect their careers, cannot stand it when that same tool is used against them. They cannot stand the taste of their own medicine.

@av This post was not written using AI.

But even if it was, I would not have a problem with that. Because if you read any wartime strategy books, you will find that all officers use what they learn from their enemies against them.

Using AI to write this post while complaining about AI is 10/10

Humana started to go downhill when we hired Bruce Broussard to sell us to Aetna.
