Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

You will hear more in next few weeks or months

You gotta be freaking kidding me.

After 6+ months of torture, we gotta endure 3 more months of this bullsh-t????

Fidelity seriously needs to prioritize how it's affecting mental health of associates.

It sounded to me like Abby just happened to make a decision that day and that’s what they went with. No planning, just hopes and feels

@ar apparently everyone had a training where they basically said to wait for 3 months to get additional clarity lol

what a sick joke, at this point it isn’t even funny..
it’s sadistic, perfect example of what happens when you put someone who were bullied in school as in-charge.

When I saw that wording I literally laughed out loud in the office. At this point they are just straight up effing with us. No C-suite person can actually be this incompetent right? Lol

What's the context?

I don't know any more than anyone else here speculating about what's going on with this place, but to me it seems like a lot of this is reactive instead of proactive. With both RTO and RIFs it feels a lot like the company made abrupt decisions at the highest level, quickly acted, and then told lower levels to go figure out what comes next. You would think it would be the other way around and there would be a plan in place first, but it sure doesn't seem like it.
