Wonder how much more bad news is out there now that Rick is out. Doesn’t instill confidence and I wish that we at Ansys were not acquired.
I suspect the initial set of layoffs will happen tomorrow now that we have an all hands call tomorrow.

@1fm I would love to know who you are as I find it hilarious that a higher up from ansys is on here
@1fm sure, "He was very upset Ansys was acquired"
can i please get some of what you are smoking ?
@1fm another shill from Canonsburg.
@ax so I know Ajei. He was very upset Ansys was acquired. He ran the company nearly perfect. Record numbers and most of all he cared about the employees. He was forced out as he has to answer to the board. The board and big business see $$. That’s what businesses do. Sadly the new company can not hold a candle to the magic Ansys was.
@OP can you share any updates on the all-hands?
@dn so won't know about the layoffs till then?
former Ansys employees will receive their Synopsys job level and titles in early December, with an effective date of January 1
@bd pervasive insights was always hilarious lol Ansys can’t integrate two products within the same BU, but tried to market a full solution. They have developers in multiple BUs working on the same features in different products. SPH, FSI, electronics cooling, battery simulation… the list goes on and on.
@bc The massive inorganic growth ,aka m&a, started with Ajei. It got worse after the former CFO Maria was forced to retire and Nicole from the Street assumed office. Bubble built up quicker than never before after Pervasive Insight slogan was released. What a pure hoax.
@as YouDeserveIt - Ansys did this to dozens of companies with so much arrogance. 50-80% of Ansys employees are not needed. I’ve never seen so many unwarranted egos. Ever.
@ax do not forget Sassin, I wish he’d just sell Falafel instead of running a multinational company, he proudly announces layoff as a healthy thing for company, then makes us wait months, keeping everyone in constant anxiety! Totally wrecking not only Synopsys but innocent Ansys folks!
@as Thank Ajei Gopal ;) He is enjoying his wonderful life now.
I'm Ansys, too, and this acquisition was the worst thing for us. We were doing so well...
@OP which business group has an all hands tomorrow?
