Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Hunger Games have already started

After a layoff event people used to take breather and relax, not with this latest one. Feels like hunger games have already started. It must be about the hiring in ENGINE and Buenos Aires.

Tell me about it. My manager feels like I am a competitor to her. Hunger games reached insanity levels.

There will be another round of layoffs in 2026. The cuts will be more surgical and focused on areas that are being transitioned between this year and next. Lots of LT are traveling to India to transfer knowledge and when teams in India are even sorta ready the work will be transitioned to India.
People who are selected for jobs or were in closed positions will be reviewed and many will be laid off in 2026.
