The person talking about 2009 is using the previous company and not after the split. The current policy has an "Alaska move out" section that says it pays to relo people out of Alaska if they lay you off IF they moved you there.
Great question! COP laid off my husband in Bartlesville in 2009 and we were not offered a move back to Houston. Nothing like moving you to the middle of nowhere and laying you off!
