I’m going to take a different perspective here. Joe is usually open and transparent in his Q&As, but he certainly didn’t behave like himself in this one. I believe Dan or Sam told him to stop talking and revert to being one of those familiar Verizon “leaders” we’re accustomed to. Perhaps that’s also why the HR person was sitting next to him this time, likely there to monitor his behavior.

In a way, they just told that next is NW-layoff ? just few hundreds or few thousands, similar to May-7 BR location. and everyone make sure you hire what is needed in Phillies, !ndia so the NW sleeps for sure.

Make it quick before/after Q2, wrap up all before Oct-1 so save more RSU.

Today’s panel did exactly as their GOAL - Be BOLD - emphasis we are going to lay you off no matter what, even though we are the LEADERS who sunk the boat(not a ship anymore). HR is witness, now secured my Millions in bonus for next year as LEADERS.
