Thread regarding F5 Networks Inc. layoffs

All men are created equal… but not sure it feels that way here.

Patterns look strange. It almost feels like the “biggest risks” for employees are:
• Being a woman
• Turning 40+
• Taking maternity leave
• Dealing with serious illness

If that’s what our “business-driven decisions” end up looking like…

is this really a board-approved standard, or just how it played out this time?

@bq Yet another example of layoffs showing their priorities—cut the ones building value
, keep the ones tearing it down. Good luck!

I am glad we are finally returning to normalcy after years of females at F5 doing less than their male counterparts, being paid more, being able to take constant maternity leave for years - and the list goes on

If you’re female managers who mentors, promotes, hosts events, builds technical depth, and actually takes care of people — you’re OUT….

If you’re a Caucasian male manager who restocks snacks, says “yes” to upper mgmt, and takes credit for others’ ideas/works — you SURVIVED…..

It’s been a week now, and I still don’t understand.

@OP it's investor approved - the board is just comprised of a bunch of puppets...
