@1zr Sure the federal government revenue might be 2.5m per employee. But their expenses per employee is probably more like 20m

That puts revenue per employee for these private companies at between, roughly, $250 thousand and $1 million dollars.
But the U.S. government raises $5.23 trillion dollars a year but has only 2.03 million employees. That puts revenue per federal employee at about $2.5 million.
It looks like all of these private companies are in the wrong business.
Databricks - roughly 10,000 employees and $5.4B in revenue
Palantir - roughly 5,000 employees and $4.5B in revenue
Snowflake - roughly 9,000 employees and $4.7B in revenue
Alteryx - roughly 1,5000 employees and $1B in revenue
SAS - roughly 12,000 employees and $3.2B in revenue
In every measure, SAS has too much bloat and too many employees.
SAS has reduced headcount by 2-3% annually for many years — through a mix of layoffs, buyouts, and attrition.
There is no reason to think this will change.
None planned in the Art Department, which is safe.
I can haz layoff?
@ac If you didn’t see/hear it then you should start attending the company events…

What is magic $3 Billion?
That depends on revenues.
It's May, and we have yet to see a report of the magic $3 Billion.
