Thread regarding Morgan Stanley layoffs

Ted Pick is not a cut on James Gorman

We've replaced a human being with a capitalist cutthroat.
Culture going down the pan
Ranks of useless middle management
Gorman would be saddened by what is happening

you (@OP+1kkcvgd6y) think Gorman is more benevolent? wake up kid, do you even know where Gorman had been from? @38p+1kkcvgd6y is correct Gorman cut more people because Gorman started his career as a consultant and then Merrill Lynch

Gorman cut every year I was there except Covid. The Firm is printing money right now and the fact that they cut 2500 lives with record revenues and substantial bonuses to key execs is just plain IMMORAL

A note to make is that elite MBAs in the 1990s cost a fraction of what it is today.

When he was Head of the Institutional Securities Group all he did was cut stuff and overworked the staff to death. The majority of the time that led to his rise was during the 2008 crisis where people had to put up with those horrible working hours.
