We (myself & other colleagues) are in a site that will be closing in the near future. 99 percent of scheduled SPTO is wait listed or declined. It used to be 5 days call out equals 1 occurrence. Was it changed to 3 consecutive days calling out now equals 1 occurence? Our leaders are scarce these days, and we can't get a straight answer from HR. Most of the time we can't even reach HR. Thank you in advance.

If you believe your getting laid off any time soon, then by the time any occurrences have time to build to the point of getting a warning or write up, you'll be gone anyways. Just like when your work gets QA'd, by the time any of it adds up to something worth worrying about, you'll he gone. But again that depends, if you know when the building is closing, it'll give you an idea. They let us go 2 months before the building closed. So by mid year we stopped worrying about QAs. But unused PTO you get paid out for. Depends on if you want the money or time off before the end.
Go to the HRSS and search Attendance and Punctuality for U.S. for the written policy. Not sure why HR can't give you a direct answer. It's well documented.
@b3+1kpwdynhd 3 absences equals 1 occurrence I meant
3 occurrences equals 1 occurrence. And you need tons of occurrences to get fired, like 8 right. So 24 days you can miss. That’s over 1 per 10 business days. Anyone worried about this needs to be fired. Can’t stand this type of low commitment.
@ak that would be a concern if someone had 7-8 unscheduled occurrences or tardies. The people asking this do not have attendance issues, we are trying to avoid issues.
Don't give them any reason to fire you for cause and lose severance .
Great question!
