@aj Unfortunately the unions in the UK can do fu-k all because nobody's in them. Even the union reps don't reply to messages.

Hopefully industrial action will spread to other countries in support of pay rises amid the quarterly broken promises on pay by DXC.
I'm actually surprised it hasn't happened sooner but that's the workforce for you.

Many DXC employees have not received a pay rise in five years. Over that time, the cost of living has increased by more than twenty-four per cent, meaning wages have effectively gone backwards, the union said.

“Many of these workers have gone five years without a pay rise,” he said.

“With the cost of living rising sharply over that time, they have effectively taken a massive pay cut while continuing to deliver critical technology services.”
Workers say the company has proposed enterprise agreements containing no guaranteed wage increases for many employees while also seeking to remove several existing conditions.

Inglis said the dispute has its roots in long-running efforts by workers to protect existing employment conditions after legacy enterprise agreements covering many employees were due to expire.

“In 2023, DXC attempted to terminate legacy enterprise agreements and push employees back onto Award minimum conditions,” he said.

“That would have left many workers tens of thousands of dollars worse off. Workers joined our Union in large numbers, successfully challenged the move and forced the company back to the bargaining table.”

Despite bargaining meetings taking place approximately every fortnight since late 2024, workers say progress on key issues, including wage increases, standby rates, and workplace conditions, has been limited.

“Our members have been negotiating in good faith for more than a year, trying to reach a fair agreement,” he said.

“But instead of putting a reasonable offer on the table, DXC has proposed agreements that remove conditions and provide little or no guaranteed wage increases.”

DXC reported global profits of US$389 million last year.

“Industrial action is never something these professionals take lightly,” he said.

“But after more than fourteen months of negotiations, workers have been left with no choice but to take action to secure a fair agreement that recognises their skills and the critical work they do.”

What a disaster!!! Feel sorry for my fellow DXC team and our soon to be ex customers!

Really need to get as far away as possible - it’s imploding!!!
