Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Hub Locations

I thought the goal (at least in part) of RTO was to get folks together in HUB locations to collaborate and sing Kumbaya while holding hands. I see a lot of exceptions made for certain people. Many managers are reporting to non hub locations and it’s perfectly fine. Why the double standard?

@aj Does anyone know the number of planned Hubs as of 2026? Wasn't the original goal about 9 ?

OP, it’s because the Company is still figuring out who to keep and who to cut. Don’t be jealous of someone in a non-hub who is still waiting to hear if they are now a hub or not and their job will be cut. Eyes on your own paper. Chances are, you spend more time spying on your coworkers than actually supporting paying customers.

What is the hub bub about hubs. Just get in the hub, bub. Swipe in then go to the pub. Get some grub; possibly a sub or a club. Use some hubba bubba to hide your breath from the pub. Afternoon go to the can for a rub on your nub chub. Don't forget the hands get a scrub. The hub is not for shlubs.

Work hard dummy! Remember the days you went to malls and having fun at work time when these special people are doing the work for you? That’s why it’s payback time.

What is all the hubbub about hubs? Just because we keep changing/adding/removing locations… what is the problem?

So much collaboration and innovation happening in our hub locations. Everyone gets to stare at each other on Teams calls while everyone is in the office. So efficient!!

AT&T is a toxic shithole. I know some troll is going to pop up spewing the mental equivalent of a diarrhea attack but that is what keeps them alive since they have no lives. I worked there for 10 years. It is a woke bureaucracy in which non talented uninventive clods both lead and operate the business. If you have any amount of self respect, quit. Most people there only do it for the money, the culture su-ks and they attract the most toxic and useless talent in that business.

@a3 That’s just not true and if you guys don’t like it go see if someone else wants your talents. Ba-bye!

And don't also forget that hubs were supposedly created because we have TOO many locations. Yet we see new hubs magically created at the whims of management at the SAME time people are fired for not moving to the listed hubs.

Are you new to AT&T? They wrote the book on double standard treatment. Favoritism and nepotism are usually drivers to “exceptions”…while everyone else must comply or it’s bye bye.

L3 and above are exempt from these rules.
