@f4 I it's a bit of a lie to say there used to be innovation in digital. There never was. Innovation is novel not using 5 year old tech

sure... CIS, ER and HR.

Just Do it

why do entire groups get passes for full remote?

@ja CIS?

Let's start with HR and Employee Relations. If anyone needs to be back, it's them.

ha tell CIS they have to be in the office 5 days a week (or even... one day a week)...

that should be hilarious to watch all the resulting whining

I think innovation in digital is gone, back to off the shelf and less staff here that can create good products, software is a risky business and quite frankly Nike is not good at it. They take comfort in keeping the lights on with low paid ITC staff, even though you ultimately get what you pay for, Nike never wanted something good, and when they get it, they don't know what to do with it anyway.
More of the same, more to ITC, less innovation, few teams here to support efforts that are already underway with a future date to ITC them once they are in production...

This is why Nike will never recruit new top talent to move the dial and company forward. Noone wants to uproot to the Portland area with the legacy of layoff culture when they can work remotely for other companies.. I guess it will be 60% or more overseas contractors. A model which will never inspire innovation or foster a culture ppl will want to join.

Thanks for bringing that up. We are perfectly productive with a 4-1 schedule but 5-0 would be great to destroy the morale and the company

Doubt it, I mean come on EMEA is still protected with their 3-2 work week

Maybe instead of forcing the ones who already come in 4 days a week to come in 5 days, why don’t you make the 3/4 of the company who is remote to come in?wouldn’t that be fair.. I don’t know where you will sit us all, as there isn’t enough space for the ones who are forced to come in 4 days as it is. This company is so unfair and plays favoritism and is pitting people against each other. It’s either all come in 4 days a week or all work remote. Right now so many groups are remote while the unlucky miserable ones are forced to come in and work in poor conditions crammed in with no space. What kind of company is this? You care about your employees then treat us all fairly.

outsourcing GT to India is destroying the company

An RTO push is pure insanity. “Hey. You have to be in the office! But because we’ve offshored most business functions your meetings start by 6am daily”

It’s something you’d only do if you wanted to destroy the company.

I doubt it. If we go to 5 day RTO, EH would lose his credibility after recently announcing we're keeping 4-1. Even if EH wants to change it to 5 day, I image they'd have to wait sometime before finding an excuse to change it.

I doubt, wouldn't be surprised of course, but I actually think they are sticking to the 4-1 and will still post remote positions
